Not satisfied with Justine's bad performance in her English class, Arnold is doing a spelling test with her. It's bad enough that she has no book to learn from; she pretends that she doesn't need that particular book at all. And she was told to prepare for the test the day before, which she didn't, so of course, she fails it completely. To teach her a lesson Arnold gives her a spanking with a birch rod. For every word she spelled wrong, the birch rod makes contact with her bare bottom.
